Dreamspeakers on Tour

Dreamspeakers on Tour (DOT) is a project that teaches Aboriginal youth 14-24 the basics of filmmaking by film industry professionals. The youth are immersed in the independent film culture where they experience firsthand the hard work that it takes to direct and edit a short 2 – 5 minute film. The participants learn how to use a camera, set up lighting for different scenes, and operate sound equipment as well as directing actors.

Dreamspeakers on Tour is a great opportunity for Aboriginal youth to make their voices heard.  If you know of anyone who would like to participate in this year’s program, please have them contact Dreamspeakers at 780-378-9609 or fill out a DOT Application and Fax it to 780-378-9611

Deadline for applications is May 2, 2014.
